I found myself a new love: A 1964 Tudor Submariner with an original 390 FEF 17j movement made by Rolex. According to the owner these movements were only made until '68 when it got replaced by the practical and less complicated ETA movements. The grey NATO strap was first designed for the British army and has a canvas upper and a leather inside.

Where in the world did you find such a nice NATO strap?
